I was recently an inpatient in the QEUH. I went in via the same day admission unit and was then transferred to ward 10A post operatively. The staff in the same day admission unit were lovely, my nurse Adam made sure I had everything I needed and also offered to move me to a cubicle that had a trolley so I could lie down as my back was very painful.
Both the anaesthetist and the anaesthetic nurse (theatre 9) were absolutely amazing. As an ANP I work in a hospital setting however all staff acknowledged that I was nervous and helped me enormously, I cannot express how they helped calm me. Recovery nurses again were amazing put me at ease and made sure I was comfortable and pain free. Ward 10a staff were also fantastic, they made my stay comfortable and ensured I had everything I needed.
Not forgetting my surgeon Mr Augustithis an amazing surgeon, I cannot express my gratitude for your help and expertise, from the moment I woke from the anaesthetic I new you were an amazing surgeon thank you so so much.
I want all staff involved to know they do an amazing job and you truly made my hospital stay as easy as it could be.
Thank you
"Staff doing an amazing job"
