"Blood test appointment that disappeared."

About: Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust / Phlebotomy

(as the patient),

I visited the Drs on September 01/09/20 and was told to make an appointment for a blood test.  I did on the second September  and rang the local Healthport blood testing service and was given an appointment for a week the following Wednesday, that is in 8 days time, I agreed to take the appointment and then rang off, and then rang the Minerva Clinic who gave me an appointment at 10.55 the following Monday, the 7th September, I then rang the Healthport back and said I had an appointment with another clinic for the 7th and cancelled the appointment with them,  This was an important appointment for me as I was going to the hospital the following day the 8th September.

When I arrived for my appointment on the following Monday at the Minerva they denied all knowledge of said appointment, the receptionist did say there was an appointment later that same day which had been cancelled. She took me to the blood clinic which was full of patients, but I was told that that they  there had refused to let me take that appointment and  next appointment was for Friday 11th at the Minerva.

How did I feel, boiling angry, what happened to my appointment?  I have copies of all telephone calls from my bill at B.T.  I want to know why my appointment disappeared and why I was not given the later appointment that had been cancelled?  Apart from the receptionist I was treated with near contempt by  other members of staff and,the patients waiting for their appointments, treated as a deluded nuisance, who could not make an appointment.  I am not an idiot, I have a B,A, (Hons) an M.A. and a P.G.C.E.

Was my appointment given to someone else?

I am not happy about this, something should be done.
