"Praise for Rheumatology staff"

I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis by Dr Gordon  in 2018. I didn’t even know anything about this disease. The care and the professionalism I have received by the Rheumatology team has been outstanding. I can’t thank them enough. Especially Maureen  the Rheumatology nurse specialist. I have seen Maureen for most of my appointments regarding my condition. I am anxious when attending my appointment in hospital especially in the last few months. Maureen is so genuinely a nice caring person and puts me at ease straight away. Maureen has explained so much to me about my disease I can’t thank her enough. Recently I had to go for an appointment for a cortisone injection. It wasn’t going to be Maureen I was seeing for this appointment it was someone I didn’t know. She turned  out to be just as caring and professional as Maureen. Her name is Remzie. She put me right at ease and I forgot my anxiety straight away. Really nice and friendly still very professional. Maureen and Remzie make an awesome team. Really caring and passionate about their patients .

The other people in the Rheumatology team that have helped me a lot and come to terms with my disease are Patricia the Specialist Occupational Therapist. Patricia has kept me informed of things that can help me and services I can access to help me. Again so caring and professional. 

Patricia referred me to Sandra Occupational Therapist Assistant Practitioner Rheumatology. The care I received from Sandra has been has been exceptional. I really can’t thank Sandra enough for the care and attention I received to help with my stress and anxiety. I feel so privileged to receive such special treatment from this special person. The whole team are really special. I can’t thank the NHS and the staff including the reception teams. Liz one of the staff  was extra nice when I was there at a few of my appointments. 

I just want to say thank you all. Especially in the last few months of this year.
