"NeoNatal care"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Maternity care

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was born at Craigavon area hospital and at 48 hours old required NeoNatal care. On arrival to the unit All processes was explained to me and what care my son would receive during his time in the unit.

During his stay in the unit my son was treated with the highest level of care. The medical and nursing team cared for him as they would their own child. Nothing has ever been an issue to them. I take comfort in knowing my son is in their care.

Good afternoon thank you for taking the time to share the experiences of care that your son had whilst under the care of our staff in the Neonatal Unit in CAH. As manager for the Neonatal ward it is so reassuring to read your story and to hear that from arrival onto the ward that you were clearly informed about all that we would be doing in trying to provide the very best care for your son. I will ensure that this story is shared both with the medical and nursing staff on the ward and your words “cared for him as they would their own child” is certainly something that the team would be humbled to hear.

Kind regards

Una Toland
