"Excellent Care by Gynaecologist"

I was referred urgently to Gynaecology at the beginning of the year following discovery of a cyst which needed further investigation.

At my first appointment with Dr Barr she reassured me that I was in safe hands and despite the outcome I would be well looked after. My Anxiety reduced significantly. Ultimately I was scheduled for hysterectomy. Despite the trying times due to Covid and my procedure being postponed Dr Barr made sure at every step any decision being made was the right one for me and kept in regular contact.

My procedure was carried out in July. Dr Barr has a bedside manner second to none. She is very approachable and didn’t make me feel rushed in any way. She made sure I understand everything that was happening and that I was happy. In a time where things are so busy it is often rare to find health care professionals who make you feel like they have time to talk. Her manner is so caring and kind and she has a way of explaining things making it easily understood.

Dr Barr is a credit to her profession and an Asset to NHS Forth Valley.
