I had a small skin growth removed recently (awaiting result) in day surgery (ambulatory care) at Forth Valley Hospital. Once the doctor had taken a look and confirmed the plan Kirsty, the nurse practitioner who did the local operation, talked me through every aspect and made me comfortable and confident that she knew what she was doing and things would be OK. She's done a great job. The numbing injections of local anesthetic were the only very minor pain point. 6 days on and the wound is healing nicely, I've not had to take any pain killers and everything is clean and tidy. Stitches to come out later this week. Through the operation period assistant nurse Clare was on-hand - efficient, caring and supportive. She gave me clear instructions and documentation take away with me. All-in-all a great little team.
"Great day surgery service"
