The Health Inclusion Team is a specialist team of nurses working with families with children aged 0 to 19 and young adults who are living in temporary accommodation, gypsies and travellers, victims of domestic abuse, trafficking, asylum seekers or refugees.
As a service HIT has historically struggled to gain service user and carer feedback. Due to the pandemic team had to replace the majority of their face to face contacts with telephone consultations. The narrative below is a summary of feedback that was individually collected.
My experience of HIT during the pandemic was very good. They have checked on my family regularly. I found the telephone appointments very helpful although I missed my face to face appointment. I always know they are here. I strongly agree with the statement that the service has been meeting my needs.
