"Possible Stroke"

About: Fairfield General Hospital / General medicine Royal Oldham Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

One day in August 2020 I was dizzy and everything going round. I phoned the emergency doctors at the Oldham ICC and they said they would get a Dr to phone back. However they said really I should go to Oldham A&E. My left eye had dropped over to the left and was seeing double and dizzy. I arrived at A&E and was sent straight to Urgent Care Dept. "WOW" I was seen within minutes and sent for an MRI Scan. The Dr then came to give me the results and suggested I should be sent to Fairfield Stroke Unit. I was then put on a stretcher and waited no more than 10 minute and was in an ambulance taking me to Fairfield Hospital.

I cannot thank the nursing staff  and Dr in the Urgent care and A&E depts enough for getting me through the system. They were all fantastic and fast. Thank you all very much.
