I was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as an emergency by my GP. Due to current Covid & first time being admitted to ARI was apprehensive. I was seen by SAC clinic in Ward 208 & was admitted to the ward for further tests. I was kept informed at every stage through Ultrasound, MRI & blood testing. These showed I required an ERCP to unblock my bile duct. I was transferred to ward 207 to await this. Even although I thought I may only be in for one night I ended up having an 8 day stay. All staff from porters, cleaners, catering, health care assistants & nursing staff were second to none & did a 5* job. The nurses were never off their feet & were kind & caring. Angel's in uniform. The food was excellent too, I felt bad wasting food in the first few days as I just couldn't face it but when my appetite returned I thoroughly enjoyed it with plenty choice of healthy food offered. I will have to return in the future for an operation but this time I won't be so apprehensive as I know the hospital provides a first class service in all areas.
