"Childrens A & E"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care)

(as a parent/guardian),

Had to take my 18 month daughter to RACH A & E due to her falling at nursery and her teeth biting all the way through her lip and breaking the skin and a big wound.

On arrival was checked in by Lynne very efficiently and quickly, only had to wait 5 minutes at most then we were triaged by the nurse who did an assessment and quickly organised pain relief for her to help with the pain.

A quick 10 minute wait and saw the Paediatric Dr who checked everything was okay with her teeth and gums and if we needed stiches or glue, thankfully nothing required as wound would heal on its own and just some sympathy and some Calpol over the next few days to help with any pain.

A very quick and thorough service, we are very lucky to have RACH A & E.

Dear appreciate our nhs

I am so glad yours and your daughter's visit to RACH A&E has been a positive one as this is exactly what the A&E staff strive to make happen to ensure that children are not left with poor memories in the future and they will be delighted to hear that their efforts have had such an impact

I hope your daughter's mouth is not too sore and she is on the mend. Definitely a need for cuddles and ice cream or ice lollies to aid a speedy recovery is in order.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback on care opinion and I will ensure the A&E team receive your feedback
