My mum was an emergency admission to Ward 208 with severe abdominal pain. She had a ct scan, then discharged a few days later, being told she would get a phone call after she was discussed at MDT the following Tuesday. That was 2 weeks ago, she is still in severe pain but after her phoning the consultants secretary only to to be told consultant on holiday and she couldn’t tell my mum the outcome of the MDT. My mum was told she has a phone call on 8/9 with the consultant. It’s the lack of communication and miscommunication my mum and I are disappointed and upset about because her care from the Nursing staff on ward 208, and then boarded out to 210 was great. Please can someone find out what is going on and tell my mum!
