About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care) Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Surgical Paediatrics (Children's Surgery)

(as a parent/guardian),

My Daughter was taken into A& E with a broken hand and leading to a  surgery and she is only 4! Of course as parents we were anxious and slightly panicking as didn't expect a surgery. The nurses and doctors were fantastic in Surgical ward at Childrens Hospital. Dr Mills, the surgeon was v empathetic and spoke to me on the phone to explain as I wasn't with her, dad was. Overall, we got top notch care and v compassionate people who dealt with us. You all should be proud of yourselves!

Dear Anxious Parents

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on care opinion and I hope your daughter is now on the mend and running you ragged as 4yr olds do.

This must have been a very anxious time for you all especially when you couldn't all be together due to the COVID restrictions. As a parent you just want to be with you child when they have hurt themselves to make things better for them and we are very conscious that COVID has had such a huge impact on everything we would normally offer for the families using our services

I am so pleased to hear however that the telephone contact you received from Miss Mills and the surgical ward team helped in some way to reassure you that she was in safe hands

I am sure Miss Mills and the surgical ward team will be delighted to receive your feedback which I will make sure and pass on to them.
