"I knew every detail of what was going on"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Urology (Bladder and Urinary problems)

(as a service user),

I was admitted to Ward 209 very early in the morning with extreme pain. All staff were lovely but in particular I was looked after by Ed, a 3rd year student. He made me feel at ease and respected. He was very informative and made sure I knew every detail of what was going on. He had a very caring approach to patient care as well as being personable. I felt very safe with him as my nurse and have no doubts he’ll be great as a qualified nurse.

Dear Patient 2020

The nurse nabager for ward 209 has provided this response:

Many thanks for taking the time to give us feedback regarding the care you received during your admission to Ward 209.

It was lovely to read that you were made to feel at ease and safe during your stay and that you were fully informed in relation to your care.

I know that the team and ED our Student Nurse will be delighted and proud to read your positive words.

I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the team and I hope you are feeling better and recovering well.

Best wishes

Jane

I would like to also say Well Done! to ward 209 and particularly ED who I am sure will live up to your expectations of being an excellent registered nurse.

Many thank for your kind words!
