I need to draw your attention to the work of the admiral nurses support network for carers of Dementia patients, a service so badly needed by so many.
My Husband was admitted to R.C.H. Treliske during lock down ( For another reason ) and died unexpectedly while there (My Husband developed Dementia a year previousley ) both of us had been shielded patients at home.
I had lost my soul mate and was on my own I didn't know how to cope with my grief and isolation, with so much going around in my head and not sleeping, but feeling exhausted.
Then the phone rang, a wonderful young lady from the Admiral support network spoke to me.
Without Caroline I don't know how I would have coped mentally.
What a great asset these young ladies are to Dementia/Alzheimer patients and their careers. Please R.C.H. Treliske, support these nurses for the much needed wonderful work they do in the Dementia sector in Cornwall.
I thank God everyday for that particular young lady
I wish her well.
