Colonoscopy conducted on a Monday in August 2020 at Lincoln County Hospital Endoscopy Department.
Staff were friendly keeping me informed all the time.
My colonoscopy was conducted by Prof. Jervoise and was to the best standard I could have hoped for. There was no gas left in my bowels so I had no remaining pain or need to expel gas in recovery which is embarrassing and I did not feel stressed that I might make a mess in the passenger seat on my 40 minute journey home.
Only comment is that a retroflex was not carried out as 2 years ago I had a polyp (flat) cold snare removed at a psigmoidoscopy in the rectal regions it would have been reassuring had this region been checked again. There may have been physiological reasons or time limitations as there was an emergency case following on immediately after and a full covid-19 sterilization had to be conducted of the operating room after I had been wheeled out and prior to the other patient being seen.
