"Post treatment Radical Prostatectomy"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Urology( Ward 70)

(as the patient),

Discharged home with review date in 7 weeks, extremely poor communication, appreciate the impact of Covid 19 and have been very fortunate to have my surgery. However no support from Specialist Nurses to Consultants unwilling to listen to my very valid concerns. My partner works in the NHS however the care delivery is extremely different. Total lack of care and empathy from the acute sector. Feel very let down and angry.

Dear OCT18,

I was disappointed to read your Care Opinion post where you have expressed your disappointment with the level of care and support you have received following your recent Urology surgery. Please accept my apologies for this.

I would like to investigate your case further and so would be grateful if you are able to contact me directly by calling me on 07900678367 at a time which suits you.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us and provide us with your experience of care. It is through such feedback that we are able to identify and address service gaps and issues.

Yours sincerely,

John Stuart.

Chief Nurse.
