"Neurology telephone follow up"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Neurology (Brain, Spinal and Nerves)

(as the patient),

I had a telephone consultation to follow up from an MRI I had in January this year. I had already received the findings, and some potential self help I could try initially, from my MRI via letter at the start of the covid-19 pandemic, this letter did say I would receive a follow up but at that time it was difficult to say when that would be.

The doctor called me exactly at the time that was planned, the consultation took 25 mins and I have to say that it was excellent. I was given the findings again along with a detailed explanation of what this meant, we talked about possible treatment options which were not solely medication but lots of self help suggestions too. I felt listened too and I felt supported with suggestions in alleviating my symptoms. This was all carried out during my lunch break at work, I didn't need to take any time off to attend.
