"The care my mum got"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Acute assessment unit Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Elderly medicine

(as a relative),

Our mum was admitted to FVRH to AAU2 where the staff were fab, our mum got moved on Thursday 16th July to A11. The staff in A11 were all fantastic from housekeepers/domestics, nursing assistants, staff nurses the charge nurse Craig to the Drs   Dr Selwyn, Dr Ollie and Dr Wilson who all went above and beyond their duty. Nothing was a bother to them. We were told by Dr Wilson that mum was on pallative care and they just didn’t look after our mum they kept on asking if we needed anything. The last 3 nights of our mums life we spent at her bedside and the staff were always checking on our mum as well as my sister and myself. Craigs team   is a credit to him they not only look after the patient in their care but also the patients family which we are truly grateful for

Thank you so much for taking the time, at such a difficult time, to provide this feedback.

Providing end of life care is a key priority for the staff and I know they will be pleased to hear their care has been so appreciated.

Kindest Regards

Sandra Campbell
