"Crisis team"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Crisis resolution

(as a relative),

my brother is well known and flagged to the crisis team and many other mental health services. He is early 20s and on the at risk register for being admitted to hospital. However today he has declined again and rang the crisis team begging to go to hospital as he has been saying this for weeks to everyone in the field and the man on the phone simply told him to have a fag and ring back in an hour! This was after my brother said how he felt he was going to commit suicide and felt he could harm others!

I was very sorry to hear this feedback in relation to your brother. Our aim is to ensure that people feel supported and listened to when they contact the Crisis Team. I would really like to speak with you to understand more and explore what we can do to help your brother. If you would like to contact me, please email me via Hayley.slater@nhs.net. We take feedback very seriously within the Trust and I am keen to ensure that we hear about peoples experiences of services to help inform improvements
