"She really helped me settle"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

We were in for the birth of our baby & also visited the ward during pregnancy for hyperemisis  and have been back in post natal.

We were made to feel relaxed, supported and cared for throughout. The team on the ward and also in labour suite were incredible.

A special mention for Susie who was absolute fantastic & really helped me settle when staying over without my partner and helped with feeding. Taking time to come and speak to me & made everything feel very genuine and understanding with me.

Thank you SWH for taking the time to give such lovely feedback.

It's important to us that you are put at ease within your journey in the unit and feeling 'relaxed' and 'supported' is exactly what we aim to provide our new families. Giving birth is an event that will stay with you both forever, and we aim to make this as positive an experience as we can providing person centred care throughout.

I will be sure to share your lovely words with the team - they will all be delighted!

We hope you are settling well into family life with your new baby.

Kind Regards

Claire
