Hi. I recently had knee replacement surgery at Raigmore hospital Inverness. My surgeon Mr Michels and his assistant Dr Kanya trauma and orthopaedic trainee led the surgical team. The surgery was a success.
I was in ward 3b. Mr Michels and Dr Kanya visited me regularly during my stay and their presence in theatre and the ward was very reassuring.
The staff in 3b were a 5* team. Night or day and at all levels. From those in charge through nurses, assistants, cleaners. They all, without exception, took a patient centred approach and nothing was too much bother and all this with a smile (I couldn't do it).
On a less positive note, my room was directly above some kind of ambulance drop off point? The noise had to be heard to be believed. Helpful when you're trying to sleep.Anyway, it does not take away from the service I received. Thanks to all the staff, good to be in safe hands.
"Good to be in safe hands."
