Been on hold for 2+ hours with 111, no answer still. I am aware that people are probably taking up the lines with virus related stuff but they aren't meant to do that anymore and even aside from that, at the beginning of the call the machine makes you choose from 4 options about what you need help with (roughly) for me its severe toothache being caused by my wisdom tooth coming through so I chose the dental pain option however its unclear to me if that made any deference to the time they made me wait, the entire of one side of my face is swollen and it is painful to swallow or open/close my mouth along with making it impossible to sleep properlyas I wake up in serious pain, I am finding it hard to even swallow my own saliva (let alone liquids/foods) this has been going on for 4 days and I have been barely about to eat anything or drink much despite trying every "home remedy" I could find online, I have tried to get through to 111 twice now with this morning being the first time (3 and a half hours before being cut off with no answer) and again currently.

It absolutely horrific to be sat there for so many hours in pain hoping and waiting for help and not getting it, I wouldn't recommend calling this number unless you are ok with going through this kind of experience (especially if you feel it is any kind of time sensitive issue) and I hope this complaint is seen by the people who can make a change to this so offer people don't go insane just trying to get help.
