"Car parking at the Vic'"

About: Victoria Hospital (Kirkcaldy)

(as a service user),

I attend the Victoria three times per week, every week. The car parking at the front main entrance is terrible! Many people park in the drop off area ALL DAY. Others sit in their car while parked in disabled only bays- most don't even have a blue badge.

The blue badge holders don't seem to realise it is NOT permitted to sit in the car in a disabled parking spot while waiting for another person. Disabled parking is for PARKING, NOT WAITING!

The hospital is full of security staff, it would be good if they occasionally patrolled the parking areas at the front door.

We are sorry to hear about your experience when parking at the VHK.

Unfortunately we have a limited number of security staff but do patrol the car parks when resources permit. This part of the road is covered by Fife Councils TRO and therefore Fife council are the ones who issue parking fines.
