During my pregnancy the care I received from the staff in Peterhead maternity was amazing. My own midwife Gillian I saw a few times until she had to go off due to covid, Gillian continued to call me and make sure everything was ok and let me know although she was off she was still there if I needed her.
When visiting the unit I often got seen by Josephine, at this point I was having to get growth scans for baby and was panicking about baby’s size and well-being but Josephine always reassured me, helped me calm down. I went for a general check up to phd unit and told Josephine I hadn’t felt baby move that much in the past couple days and within minutes she had me on being monitored. She really is a great midwife. Tuesday 30th June I called Peterhead maternity about 11pm and got Kelly on the phone. I called as I woke up with a lot of bleeding. Kelly was so calm, she called the ambulance for me, she stayed on the phone until the ambulance got to me she kept me speaking trying to keep me calm. She really was amazing that night and I can’t thank her enough. If it wasn’t for Kelly phoning the ambulance me and my baby may not be here right now as I had a placenta abruption.
For all other staff members at Peterhead maternity you guys are amazing. All so lovely and helpful. Thank you all for the care and support I received during my pregnancy it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
