"Online system disappointing."

About: Priory Medical Group

Iv'e been with this practice for many years and ofter experience poor treatment from staff. Prescriptions often have items missing. Beware electronic requests. My most recent either didn't go through or it wasn't processed by staff. Their system doesn't acknowledge receipt of electronic requests, so we have to assume that it has gone through OK. By the time I found out that the pharmacy hadn't received it and I sent a duplicate request, my medication was very low. I phoned the receptionist and after many attempts finally spoke to someone. Having explained how urgent it was, I requested that the prescription be marked urgent for a GP to sign it, but all she kept repeating was that it would be signed later that day; not expediently as I requested. By then, I had run out of two of my heart medicines (recovering from a recent heart operation). Also, you cannot rely on 'phone calls to them as it would seem that they very rarely answer the phone. At times, it has taken several days to get through to them. When you cannot book an appointment with a GP, they tell you to ring at 8.30 a.m. the following day to see if there is a cancellation. Just try it; you'll find it almost impossible to hear a voice at the other end, all you'll get is an engaged tone (not picking up) and after a while you will be cut off. After many attempts, I have sometimes got through by 11.30 a.m.

Receptionists are very blaize and not at all sympathetic, not taking a patients welfare into consideration nor even use some common sense.

There are three adults in my household, and we have all had the same experience.
