"Frustrating"

About: Southampton General Hospital

My son was telephoned on Friday telling him to take his 5 year old daughter with leukaemia for an ultrasound on the following Monday. He was not told it was to be at RSH. He even asked if it was on B level near the restaurant and the person agreed with him. As he has always attended the General he had no idea it was at RSH. I arrived with my granddaughter at the General. My other son had dropped us off. I was then told it was at RSH. I had to recall my son to collect us and take us to RSH. What a palaver. The person making appointments without giving paperwork should ensure that the patient is aware of the correct hospital. My granddaughter was very distressed by the fiasco. She hates having ultrasounds at the best of times!
