I would like to give NHS Fife a big shout out and acknowledgement of my appreciation for the exemplary care I have received over the past ten days. From my 111 call to my appointment through the night at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline where the consultant spotted that I was in trouble and admitted me to the Victoria Hospital at 4am.
From being received in the early hours of the morning, I was given a bed in ward 22 where the doctors and nurses continued their investigations and examinations. During my time on ward 22 I received the best of treatment and appreciate the effort and work that they all do especially throughout these exceptional circumstances.
I was later transferred to ward 52 for more tests and round the clock treatment. I am fortunate that after ten days of treatment from the doctors, nurses and all of the staff, I made a recovery strong enough to come home. It is, at the moment, a very difficult time with no visitors allowed, therefore you are more dependent on all of the wonderful staff attending to you, that from cleaners right through to consultants. I could not have been better treated and cared for. I would therefore like to thank all of the staff, they deserve all of the applause they have had and will continue to get.
"Thank you wards 22 and 52!"
