"Wonderful experience"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

Day surgery for inguinal hernia in Sandbourne Suite. Wow. What a wonderful experience from start to finish. Every member of staff smiling, positive, welcoming and doing their very best to keep me informed at each stage. So many nurses to thank and each one eager to help and inform. I can not think of any aspect of the welcome, the pre-op time, the surgery and post-op care that could be improved. My consultant and anaesthetist also must be mentioned. Nurses and staff, consultants and all ancillary staff work long hours and at times under immense pressure and smiles can and may occasionally slip but if the smiles slipped I did not see it. All so marvellous. Grateful thanks to all in the Sandbourne Suite. Tea and sandwich was good as well!!!!

Dear Colin

Many thanks for such high praise of the treatment you received during your recent visit.

It is always nice to know when we have done well and I think the staff will be delighted to read your comments.

They say a smile goes a long way and I’m sure those smiles will be reinforced by your kind words and encouragement.

We hope you are recovering well from your surgery and feeling much more comfortable.

Your comments will be shared with the team on the Sandbourne Suite.

Regards

Patient Experience Team
