Four years ago my mum's nurse mentioned a place called Forest Holme Hospice. My stomach churned in anxiety, the word even scared me. Then I quickly realised how magical and amazing Forest Holme was. Instantly wrapped in a hug of care beyond care. I knew my mum was in safe hands.

My mum died with love all around her by us and the nursing Angel's. Fifteen months later we were back with my dad but I knew what was waiting. I was looked after and supported to cope with the the passing of both my parents. After this I knew my heart belonged to Forest Holme. My husband did a charity Skydive and I did a charity brave the shave. I'm now also a volunteer for them and it's made my life fulfilled.

Dear Theophania,

Thank you so much for writing about your family's experiences of Forest Holme, remembering both your mum and your dad. We try to make a difference, but the way you talk about this is really special and very moving. "Instantly wrapped in a hug of care beyond care" just says so much.
