Also leaving a review for UCLH RMU. My complaint echos that of another user below. The doctor looking after me is great. However the service is nurse led and that is where my complaint lies. Unfortunately they are not on the same level of delivering high quality care. As another user mentioned they have little compassion or regard for making your journey easier. They also do not show professionalism and do not act accountable for the care of their patients. Constant emails ignored - up to weeks before hearing back. Phone is never answered so you can only communicate through voicemail. Entirely frustrating considering you have to call in work hours, meaning constant trips to confidential corners of the office trying to get through to someone. They say they will call you back and rarely do. Conflicting information given by different nurses at to what is happening, nurses not handing over plans to each other. This is an extremely stressful journey for many women and you would expect the service would be considerate of this. It is also an expensive service to offer which is why I cannot comprehend why they, in effect, fall at the last hurdle in the delivery of it. For any women on an IVF journey you learn how to reduce stress and prepare for treatment. I can honestly say hand on heart the greatest anxiety I had which impacted me during my treatment was in communicating with the nursing staff. I have lost faith and trust in their ability and I hope this review allows for some reflection within the department.
