"Impressed with Dental care"

About: New Stobhill Hospital (Glasgow) New Stobhill Hospital / Oral Surgery & Medicine

(as the patient),

I was referred by my own dentist to Stobhill Dental with a fractured tooth that I have been managing myself during the pandemic. I received a call from the dentist at the hospital who did a quick but concise interview over the phone and offered me a same day appointment taking into account my own personal circumstances.

On attending the hospital, I observed excellent infection control practises from the front door right up to the dental unit where physical distancing had clearly been planned carefully. The very friendly receptionist offered me a mask on my arrival and went on to demonstrate patience and empathy whilst answering phone calls from frustrated patients. I was called by the nurse into the room and asked to clean my hands with alcohol gel before sitting down. My consultation was quick and I felt very safe. I was very impressed with the service I received and just how well healthcare workers are managing the risk and working to keep patients safe.

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave feedback. During the pandemic, the way we deliver our dental services has changed considerably and the way in which our patients access our services has changed too.
