"My sons care"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care)

(as a service user),

My son was taken into sick children’s A+E due to a large oozing lump on his head.

I had contacted OOH and advised to take him in as it possibly needed drained.

When we got to A+E we were seen quickly and medical and surgical staff reviewed my son.

In the morning the consultant came and reviewed my son and a plan of care was in place.

All the staff were absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly. Really made my 5year old feel at ease. You all do such a fantastic job.

Hi mstirling87,

Its always stressful when children have to come into hospital unexpectedly but it sounds like everyone did an excellent job at making sure your son was seen and treated asap. The staff at the children's hospital do their best to make children and their families feel at ease in the strange environment and will be delighted with your feedback. Thank you for taking the time to write this post and I will, of course, let the staff know how much they are appreciated.
