"poem from a Jade ward patient / Covid lockdown"

About: Rampton Hospital / National High Secure Healthcare Service for Women

(as the patient),

Lock Down.

Frightened, Scared.

Not being able to see my family and heroes on other wards.

DRC T. I’s are great always willing to help.

Apprehensive! ! About COVID 19. Of catching the awful bug.

Enjoyed gardening.

Great to hear loved ones on the phone.

Having hair done made me feel good in myself.

Visits beginning soon. Can’t wait to see my mum and dad with a warm loving smile.

Hi

Thanks for posting your poem on this site. I agree it can feel scary at times and also sad when you cant see your friends and family. However, a trip to the hairdressers can make us all feel brighter so I am pleased you have had your hair done. I will make sure that the DRC TIs are aware of your comments, they will be pleased to hear that they are making a positive influence on your life during this difficult time. And as the sun is now shining again I hope you can enjoy the garden over the weekend....

Stay Safe

Thankyou for sharing your feelings through this lovely poem.

yes it has been difficult during these COVID 19 times but we are getting through it. The double up of ward bubbles will make it easier to see your hero's on the other wards. Social visiting has recommenced, so I know that you will be seeing your family soon with a warm loving smile.

Thanks again and take care.

Kath
