"myeloma"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cancer Services

(as the patient),

My asymptomatic myeloma was detected four years ago. My only noticeable symptom is shortness of breath due to a low Hb count. The details of the illness was explained to me together with the long term prognosis.

I have been tested and met with a consultant every two months since the original diagnosis. The quality of care has been exemplary.

Thank you North Devon District Hospital.

Dear TheM

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story on Care opinion.

I am very glad that your experience with us has been positive. I will share this feedback with the Doctors and Nurses in the team.

Please do not hesitate to call us if you have any concerns regarding your myeloma between appointments.

Our patient support group will start meeting again in the new Fern Centre once the COVID pandemic allows, and you would be more than welcome to attend then if you would like.
