"The care and compassion was amazing"

I just wanted to praise the staff at QEUH maternity outpatient department.  Having come back from my 20 week scan I cannot express fully how lovely, kind and caring everyone was. 

During Covid-19 pandemic when things are different, challenging and unexpected at points, this service seems to take everything in its stride and doing it with a smile from the staff you see in the corridors through to the cheery reception staff! 
A particular highlight was my sonographer - Leanne (apologies if I've spelt your name wrong!).  I had the good luck to have her scan me at 13 weeks and 20 weeks.  The care and compassion shown by Leanne was amazing. From a cheery manner on showing me to the room, the detailed and clear explanations of what she was scanning for and what she found through to answer any questions I had. All while having a conversation and a few laughs along the way. 

During this somewhat draughting time being unable to have my husband with me at scan appointments Leanne had me totally at ease and smiling.

I am sorry that your husband has not been able to attend your scans due to the current restrictions in place due to the Coronavirus, but thank you for being so understanding and it is absolutely fantastic to hear that you have been well looked after by the service and by Leanne in particular. I am reassured to hear that she has put you at ease and made you smile.
