"Russel hall restaurant "

About: Russells Hall Hospital

It was good today that on entering the hospital

We were given masks to wear and hand sanitizer by a very polite gentleman. But, I sat in the restaurant for over an hour and none of the staff came out to wipe over the tables, most of which had bits of food, cups, newspapers ect left on the tables. Yes, customers should and could easily have moved their own and put it into the bins, some did and some didn’t. But surely the tables should be wiped over and sprayed after each customer. Food was also on the chairs. This is not good enough, especially in an hospital. At one point 3 ladies were chatting behind the counter in the coffee section. It would only have taken them a few minutes to clean the tables.

Very disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your visit to Russells Hall Hospital.

We are pleased you were greeted by a polite staff member on entering who assisted with the necessary face mask and hand sanitiser. We are disappointed by your observations of the restaurant areas. This does not reflect the standards of cleanliness we would wish for our patients and visitors. We are committed to ensuring all our staff adhere to infection control policies.

The restaurant area is managed by our PFI partner, Interserve. Please be assured that we have provided your feedback to the senior team who will ensure any necessary measures are put in place to maintain a good standard of cleanliness.
