"Heart wrenching experience"

About: BPAS (Newcastle Daycare Unit)

I was unsure as to what I wanted to do when I arrived at the clinic I said this to the lady I was greeted by and she answered with "well why have you come then?" I was told I needed a scan nothing could be seen by a normal ultrasound I asked what was happening and she said "theres nothing there do you want to see?" Then I had to have an internal scan as she worked out I was possibly only 4 weeks pregnant and again I was told there was absolutely nothing there my uterus was just empty. So by this point I was in tears she sat me down and asked me to think back about my last period still no offer of a tissue or anything of the sort and she said it could be 1 of 4 things either a miscarriage a chemical pregnancy an ectopic pregnancy or there was a very small chance that I was still pregnant. She wasn't allowed to diagnose anything unless I had a negative pregnancy test which I didnt.

This to me was extremely unclear.

I was told if I had had a miscarriage a month ago my tests would still be positive now.

Upon leaving i called my GP for a second opinion closer to home only to be told that my HCG levels had doubled in the past week and that I was probably definitely still pregnant and that nothing would have been visable on a scan at 4 weeks anyway.

Myself and my boyfriend went through absolute hell after changing our minds soon as we got there and deciding we would probably keep it to be told that by the sonographer.

I have since done 3 pregnancy tests which all came back clear as day as big fat positives.

I wouldnt reccomend going here if you actually want to have a nice experience.

She booked me in for a weeks time but needless to say I wont be going back!
