Following being diagnosed with Facial Palsy in Nov 2019 I felt during lockdown that my symptoms were reoccurring. I self-referred to the Physio service on line and the following working day Shelley Atkins called me and was extremely caring and, thorough she did an assessment, advising that she was going to see if she could get funding to refer my for Specialist Facial Therapy and explained the process as she thinks I have developed Synkinesis. 

I was clear of the next steps and felt really listened to and confident with Shelley's diagnosis and advice. 

Three days later Shelley rang to advice that she had got the funding application approved by the panel and that the Linden Clinic would be intouch, the following day they rang and I am having an online assessment tomorrow. All this happened in just over a week - remarkable!
