"Ninewells COVID Screening service"

About: Ninewells Hospital / COVID screening

(as the patient),

When I arrived at Ninewells there was an area set up for screening if you were going to an appointment at one of the clinics in the areas listed on the board.

I was going to a clinic which was not listed on the board but went into the queue. When I got to the front of the queue, the staff member was not sure whether I should be screened but did it anyway. I was screened again when I got to the clinic.

It is maybe not possible to screen everyone coming into hospital this way but would get rid of the confusion.

Dear Dozy24

Apologies for the confusion regarding the COVID screening area when you attended the hospital for your appointment last week.

The screening at the front door of the hospital has now been stepped down and a new process has been put in place.

However thank you for your feedback and if we are required to re-introduce the screening at the entrance to the hospital we will use all feedback provided by patients to make improvements.

Kind regards

L Crawford
