So i woke up after doing a long run the night before and was not able to walk on my foot, i was sure i had another stress fracture like i did in 2015 as it was the same foot in the same place. I called my GP who told me i needed to go to A&E urgently as there was nothing he could do and i would need an x-ray. I attended A&E and spoke to the admin person who books you in. He told me that it wasnt an emergency and that A&E wouldnt accept me! How can a hospital tell somebody who cannot walk on their foot to go home as they wont be accepted, absolutely ridiculous. I have now had to get a GP x-ray form from my Doctor to have an x-ray to wait a week for results when i still cannot walk on my foot and so i am possibly walking on a broken bone, in the future making it 10 times worse. I work for the NHS and have honestly never been so embarrassed by treatment given to me as a patient! avoid this hospital at all costs as rather than helping you they send you away making the problem you have 10 times worse! I still have no diagnosis cannot work or walk and i am still waiting for my x-ray results from my GP..Appauling! And do not give me a reply saying please contact our PALS team as i have done this numerous times they either dont answer or you leave a message and they dont get back to you!
"Absolutely appauling!"
