"Covid screening service"

About: Ninewells Hospital

(as the patient),

went to ninewells hospital, entrance well marked to keep people left and right but didn't realise I had to go right to an area for outpatients to have temperature checked for covid. Went to the outpatients desk for eye clinic at the end of a very long corridor to be told to go all the way back again. I have M. E. walking takes it out of me. Knacked for my appointment.

Dear Annarama

I would like to apologise for the experience you had whilst attending the hospital for an outpatient appointment.

The directions at the front door are a national program that we could not unfortunately influence, however the screening has been stepped down and a new process put in its place so if you have to attend the hospital for future appointments it should be easier.

If the COVID screening is to be re started in future we will use all patient feedback to improve the process for our patients and thank you for providing your feedback.

Kind regards

L Crawford
