I went to A+E as I've had a stiff neck, neck pain, nausea, dizziness and increase in frequency + severity of headaches, for 2 weeks. The neck pain is now a sharp pain. My GP's meds are of no help.
I explained to the junior dr that a 6 foot tall plank of wood fell on the back of my head and back of neck around 4 weeks ago.
The neck pain, neck stiffness, nausea and dizziness are unbearable. They discharged me after being there for 5 hours, without scanning my neck. They scanned my head, but why did they not scan my neck?
Am I being dumb in assuming that my neck should have been looked at? I was sent away with anti-sickness tablets.
The neck symptoms worsened 2 weeks ago when I was jolted from my sleep by a loud banging on my window. One of my kids were returning home from doing a night shift. The painkillers make my nausea and dizziness worse, but dampens the neck pain to around 60% (from 100%). I cannot function neither on nor off these tablets.
"They scanned my head, but why not scan my neck?"
