"Admitted to Ward 110"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Internal Medicine

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to 110 via the chemo line due to having a temp etc so they admitted her this week. Normally we can not fault the nhs in any way, shape or form & speaking from someone who has also worked within an NHS role I know how hard it can be, but the care she has received has been abysmal.

Refused a warm drink at 11pm at night because they were busy, left alone for hours. Not given her correct medication & more. Totally unprofessional. Also it’s hard to know who each person is or what band they are due to all wearing the same colour of scrubs. Normally she is in a different ward and they are unreal, never met nicer girls or people who care. I’m so sad that my mum has endured this and I hope no one else does.

Dear Misst

I am so sorry to read of your Mum's recent experience while in hospital recently. This is certainly not what we expect within our wards and I would be grateful if you can contact me direct and we can discuss further.

Kind Regards

Fiona
