"Appalling service by some receptionists AGAIN!"

About: Dr Dp Diggle & Dr Re Phillips

I have visited the surgery twice in the last 7 days and each time the service by some reception staff was... Less than acceptable?

First you spend 5-10 minutes waiting for reception staff to see you (in each case the receptionist from the neighboring clinic had to knock on the door- how embarrassing!) and then you are met with complete incompetence by some staff. I rang on Friday, 12.06.2020, to order some supplies to treat diabetes. The receptionist who answered the phone had no idea what I was talking about, nor could she find the brand or make of the system I was given (spelling out AGAMatrix also didn't help). As she couldn't help me, she asked for me to call the diabetes clinic and have an email sent because she didn't know the brand and I was pronouncing it wrong... Now at this point, I still had enough supplies to last the weekend, so I called back on Monday morning to ask the same question again. This time the receptionist actually knew what she was doing, got everything sorted asap. Due to some health issues, a medicine now needed to be prescribed, which was sent to the practice yesterday (15.06.2020) around 16:30 and I was supposed to pick this from the chemist today....I go to the chemist today (16.06.2020)to find that my usual order had been sent twice and the medication for the diabetes is nowhere to be seen. Called the GP again, to find out that the script hadn't been passed along to be signed yet and to call back at 5 to see whether it has been done now, the rest is up to the chemist... (over 12 hours later I may or may not get the medicine).

However, since I have received double the amount of my usual medication from 2 different pieces of prescription, I'm finding it very hard to believe a word the receptionist has told me.

So I am now sat at home, 8 months pregnant with gestational diabetes, sugar spikes all over the shop, stressed out and worried about my baby with no supplies to check blood sugars after tomorrow morning and no medication.

I will be changing GP practices after this pregnancy, as this is now the second time that my mental health and the health of this pregnancy was jeopardized by careless reception staff. It shouldn't take several working days and numerous phone calls to get some medication and diabetes supplies.

A shame really, because the doctors are great.
