"I was extremely worried about the surgery"

I had left knee revision survey on the Orthopaedic Trauma Ward following removal of infected knee and tissue restoration.

I was extremely worried about the surgery and concerned about having a successful outcome.

Throughout my stay at Ninewells Hospital, I was impressed by the professionalism and attitude by all levels of staff,  including Consultants, Nurses, Specialists and support staff. This was despite the restrictions and difficulties presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

All stages of my treatment plan were explained beforehand and outcomes clearly explained after each step. This was extremely re-assuring to me and I was impressed that all medical staff were up-to-date on the current status throughout. Obviously, internal communication is very efficient.

On a practical level, nursing staff were happy to cover lack of patient visitors by accommodating delivery of personal supplies and laundry via hospital reception. This was particularly successful after a week or two.

I was most impressed by the overall care provided.,
