"My stay in Tisbury ward"

About: Salisbury District Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

One friday in May I was breathless admitted via ambulance to S.D.H and via the "anti-room" where I was attended by a super attentive nurse and Doctor which I've sadly lost their names but yet again thank you so much, and eventually transferred to Tisbury ward 1   Wow what a fantastic" crew".

Placed in side ward for "safe keeping" and after being cleared against covid 19 was let loose in six bed ward. Well being the chatty type soon made chums within, and laughed at anything that attracted our brand of combined humour.

Firstly there was an ex-soldier who became so very helpful in setting me up with radio/television papers etc then an older gent called who frequently used flowery adjectives, not unlike myself about multiplying! Then there was someone who had worked on and about Longleat house and grounds. Betwix the four of us we had humour a plenty, haven't laughed so much about such silly things for an eon of time!

All the staff right across the board were superb, second to none! and out of the many these few names I can recall "Linda" an abbreviated  version of her Italian name . Roberta "Robbie" to me, also Italian,   who would always say goodbye on leaving her shift, nothing too much trouble! Then Claudia who was of Albanian and Greek heritage who was good fun! A lovely Philopenian lady who always seemed to be working far too hard, but had time for a laugh/giggle . another charming happy ,laughing young chap was Godwin who always remembered what you had to drink and how ! Abby and Georgia who where super efficient and will go onto greater things I'm sure, although one of them said they'd be heading London way. As my memory is failing there are many others that I  would love to mention but alas their names escape me! Wishing all patients a speedy and complete recovery, and thanks to the team that performed the "procedures" upon me and am hoping for complete and total recovery , fingers crossed !

(Please make sure my story/letter gets displayed on the ward notice board as I would like the folk concerned to know and see !)
