As my pregnancy was classed as high risk, and due to the current downgrade of the maternity ward, I was unable to give birth in Elgin but I have nothing but praise for the antenatal care I received there throughout my pregnancy.
I was required to attend Ward 3 on numerous occasions due to an underlying health condition and each and every time I was cared for by friendly and attentive staff, nothing was ever too much trouble and I was always made to feel very welcome. This was also the case when I had appointments with the consultants and the midwives who done my scans, everything was always explained clearly to me and they done a very good job at putting my mind at ease.I would also like to give an extra special mention to my Community Midwife Lynne, who really went above and beyond to look after us right through my pregnancy. As a first time mum I was very anxious about the whole journey and Lynne always done her very best to explain things to me and make me feel better about all my concerns. It really made such a positive difference knowing that we were being supported so well and we are so grateful for everything that she done for us.
