The care my Grandad has received and the staff helping to accommodate family calls during this difficult time.
Unfortunately since COVID-19 my grandad was admitted to hospital back in March - it has now been 3 months he’s been on Ward 43 at the RVI, Newcastle.
I just want to say a personal thanks to the staff who have cared for him, made him comfortable, gave him a shave trimmed his eyebrows and most of helped him keep in touch with his family. As we are such a close family it has been such a distressing time not being able to visit but the staff have went above and beyond to make sure doctors keep in touch via telephone and also always make time out of the busy day to allow us to video call. This has really lifted our spirits and certainly my grandads too as we see his smiling face when the iPad joins the call. I know it’s not easy when you have so many visitors wanting to keep in touch with loved ones but Thank you Ward 43 at the RVI for everything we really appreciate it!
