Last week after a 10 week delay I was absolutely overjoyed to receive a call from my surgeon Richard, to invite me in for surgery. I’d been diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer however due to Cov19 my original surgery had been postponed. I was delighted to say yes.
I was admitted last Thursday and after a successful operation I was discharged the following day.
The treatment I received was absolutely magnificent. From Richard and Christine which was very personable and are memories to last a lifetime, to the ward nurses and anaesthetist, the ward cleaners, in fact everyone.
I truly believe I am lucky to be alive and it’s thanks to everyone involved at Crosshouse. You are a true credit to your profession and to your families.
My family and I would like to say thank you, you are our heroes.
