"Covid screening"

About: Ninewells Hospital

(as the patient),

I had been asked to arrive 10-15 mins early for ophthalmology as I would have Covid-19 screening before appointment.  Arrived in plenty time, entered hospital walking through main entrance. On walking through corridor to department noticed floor signs telling me if I hadn't been screen I should turn back. Where to though.  Asked a couple staff members who were approaching and they directed me back to main entrance area. Had walked right past the testing area. Hadn't noticed the small low level signs. Once taken for test no problems. Person friendly and polite.

Would suggest signs are placed at eye level with directional arrow so that numpties such as myself actually notice the area.

At least the floor signs further on made me stop and go back albeit with help with directions

Dear Manicfifer

Thank you for your feedback regarding the COVID screening service we appreciate all feedback given so that we can makes changes to improve the service for our patients.

We have moved our current signage to eye level so that it is now easier to see and we have made changes to the signage in the outpatient clinics corridor so that is clear where to return too if a patient is required to go back to the screening area.

Lastly we are also in the process of having new signs made to made the screening area more noticeable in general for patients coming into the hospital.

Kind regards

L Crawford
